The Wee Burn Country Club in Connecticut is a really old country club, as it first started out as a 6-hole golf course in 1896. The golf course has, of course, been upgraded over the years, most recently by Tom Fazio. It remains an excellent golf course, and Top100golfcourses.com. lists this as the 5th best golf course in the state.
The club offers several types of memberships. The higher-ranked memberships (those with golf privileges) require an initiation fee of $117,000. The Racquets and House memberships, meanwhile, require an initiation fee of $69,600.
The full golf membership will also have you pay $14,650 in annual dues. You still have the capital charge of $2,160 and the food minimum of $1,600. That means you have to pay $18,410 per year to maintain your full golf membership.
These fees may seem exorbitant, until you realize the superior quality of the amenities you enjoy. Aside from the terrific golf course, there are plenty more activities you can try out. This is a social and recreational club, where you can relax and have fun with your friends or with your entire family.
Of course, you have tennis courts here, along with practice facilities and courts for paddle tennis as well. Private lessons and group clinics are offered so you can improve your tennis skills. You can also try out bowling here, and shooting is another popular activity here.
