If you live in New Mexico and you’re a member of The Club at Las Campanas, then you really should consider yourself blessed. It’s the only country club of its kind in the entire state, and it’s been a Platinum Club of America from 2014 to 2020.
Membership here isn’t cheap, with a full equity golf membership requiring a member initiation fee of $75,000. But if you’re not a golfing fan, then you can still go for a social membership. That means an initiation fee of just $45,000.
But as a social member, you won’t have full access to the golf facilities. The club boasts of 2 Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses. The older Sunrise course opened in 1993, and it was the 100th career design of the legendary Golden Bear. The Sunset course opened 7 years later.
Both of these golf courses are among the very best in the state. Golf Digest has ranked the Sunset course as the #1 course in New Mexico, while the Sunrise course isn’t far behind at #3.
Like many other terrific country clubs, tennis fans have a lot to be thankful for with this club. The tennis program is headed by Pro Tour and USPTA pros with lessons for all ages and skill levels. The facilities include 7 tennis courts, which include several Classic Clay tennis courts.
Of course, there’s also a fitness center, but this club boasts of the latest gym equipment along with swimming facilities. Members can pick from a wide range of workout classes while using advanced cardio and strength training equipment. These include the state-of-the-art Technogym fitness equipment.
There’s a spa as well, with a range of services that include massages and acupuncture. You can even go with facials, along with hair and nail services.
What sets The Club at Las Campanas apart is that it also has an Equestrian Center. You can learn about equestrian sports, including various riding disciplines and how to care about horses. The Center has a barn with 90 stalls, an indoor riding hall measuring 32,000 square feet, and access to 68,000 acres of open land for riding.
Finally, you have 4 separate dining venues to pick from. You can go with world-class cuisine, poolside dining, patio service, and some casual fare at the Log Cabin.
