The River Crest Country Club is the oldest country club in Fort Worth, Texas. It started out in 1911, and its membership roster includes many of the “Who’s Who” of Fort Worth over the years.

The club has not released official statements regarding its fees to the general public. However, there have been some unofficial reports regarding the membership costs.

The River Crest Country Club offers several types of memberships, and starting with the stockholder membership with full access to everything. This requires an initiation fee of $60,000 (plus tax) and monthly dues of $520, with a monthly capital surcharge of $80 (plus tax). This membership gives you the right to vote, and it’s also transferable.

With the senior membership, you have to be older than 70 years old to qualify. This also offers full access to everything, but it’s not transferable and you can’t vote. The initiation fee will cost you $15,000 along with the same $520 monthly dues and $80 monthly capital surcharge.

The junior membership is available if you’re younger than 35 years old. You have full access to everything, but there’s no vote for you. This requires $7,500 for the initiation fee, with $353 monthly dues.

A non-resident membership option is available if you don’t live within Tarrant County. You’ll need to pay $30,000 for the initiation fee, with $260 in monthly dues and $40 for the monthly capital surcharge. This membership doesn’t give you voting and transfer rights, but you still have full access to everything.

To be a member, first you need current member in good standing to nominate you. Then you need 3 stockholding members of the club to sponsor your application. After that, the Board of Directors will either approve or reject your nomination.

With full access to everything, what exactly is “everything”? It all starts with the 18-hole golf course, along with chipping areas, putting greens, practice bunkers, and a driving range. There’s an on-site beverage cart, a snack bar, and also a nearby restaurant with a full-service bar.

Then you have 11 indoor tennis courts, a 50-meter swimming pool, and a modern fitness center. Add the dining and banquet venues, and it’s no wonder it’s listed as a Platinum Club of America.
