The Isleworth Golf and Country Club is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious golfing communities, not just in the US but in the whole world. It offers 600 acres of gorgeous nature, right smack in the Butter Chain of Lakes in Central Florida.
It’s located near Orlando in the southwest Windermere suburb, and it’s less than an hour away from the fantastic beaches of Florida.
It’s not surprising that it’s listed as one of the top 100 Platinum Clubs in the world. The natural surroundings are just beautiful, and offer a serene escape from the urban jungle. There are literally thousands of trees and flowers in the neighborhood.
Then you have fantastic works of sculpture lining the trees (and the fairways as well), with pieces from such luminaries as Salvador Dali, Henry Moore, and Philip Jackson.
Here, you have one of the most iconic championship golf courses in the whole world, along with state-of-the-art practice facilities. The Mediterranean-style Clubhouse is huge, with 89,000 square feet of amenities including a spa and a fitness center.
Of course, it also contains several excellent restaurants, along with rooms for various special events and business meetings. There are courts for tennis and racquetball, for those who desire an athletic lifestyle.
And with 7 miles of shoreline, members can enjoy activities such as fishing, boating, waterskiing, and paddle boarding. The docks are just for the members, giving them easy access to the interconnected lakes that surround the community. Here, you’ll also find an infinity pool, with a children’s splash pad and a poolside bar and grill.
With all these amenities, the high costs of membership shouldn’t be a surprise. The specifics aren’t publicized, but the golf membership initiation fee starts at $100,000 and that may be too conservative. In addition, the monthly golf dues are at least $2,000.
For those who aren’t into golf, the social membership initiation fee is estimated at $20,000 with monthly social dues of $750.
All these expenses are on top of what you’d have to pay for a house in the community. The most affordable homes in the area are going for at least $1.2 million.
