The Greensboro Country Club is certainly one of the best, with its status as a Platinum Club of America. That means it’s one of the top 150 country clubs in the whole country.
If you live in Greensboro, then membership here in the Greensboro Country Club may be a goal you’ll wish to aim for. The club is currently trying to increase its membership numbers. The entire process starts with a sponsor among the current members of the club, and that sponsor will then deliver the Membership Packet to you. This will include the application, which the sponsor will have to sign.
The sponsor can then help you obtain endorsement letters, from 3 other members. If you’re married, then your spouse will also need to get their own endorsement letters. But this doesn’t have to be complicated, since you can just obtain joint endorsement letters from 3 married members. You’ll then submit the completed application to the Membership department with the endorsement letters, along with the application fee.
You’ll then interview with the membership committee, and the sponsoring member will help with that as well. The Board of Directors has to approve each new member.
The Greensboro Country Club offers 2 types of memberships, with the full membership and the farm membership. The full membership reportedly requires an initiation fee of about $50,000 and that seems like a bargain.
While you only have access to one clubhouse (and 1 golf course and 1 swimming pool), with the full membership you have 2 elegant private clubhouses to enjoy. You can play on two 18-hole golf courses, and try out the 2 swimming pools. Then there’s the spacious fitness facility with 10,000 square feet of amenities.
Tennis fans will appreciate the 7 lighted outdoor courts, with 6 clay courts and 1 clay-tech court, along with 2 Platform Tennis Courts at the Irving Park facility. At the Farm Club, you have 3 indoor plexi-cushion courts and three lighted outdoor clay courts. Factor in the excellent dining venues and the busy social calendar, and this country club really proves its worth.
