Country Club of Orlando is one of the oldest and one of the largest country clubs in Florida. It was chartered way back in 1911, and it functioned as a tourist attraction to lure in visitors from the North. The Country Club of Orlando remains a topnotch operation, as it’s ranked among the Platinum Clubs of America.

The golf course is perhaps the main attraction here, and the 18-hole course was originally designed by the famed golf architect Donald Ross. It has been renovated over the years, with the most recent upgrade in 2017.

The club property area is huge with 166⅓ acres of space more than enough for the terrific golf course. Other golf facilities include a practice range, while you can get lessons from PGA professionals. The golf shop is fully equipped as well.

That still leaves plenty of room for 12 tennis courts, and some of those courts are lighted for evening play. Again, there are professionals on board ready to teach, and a pro tennis shop for your needs.

You also have a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool. Then there is the fully equipped fitness center with a wide range of workout machines for cardio and strength training. The staff also offers workout classes, including yoga and Pilates.

Of course, there are plenty of spaces in the clubhouse for various types of social gatherings. This clubhouse was fully renovated in 2000, and it debuted with a Gala Opening Ball. There were further upgrades more recently in 2017, with renovations for the Ballroom, Living Room, and the Foyer. Even the Bridge Room was improved.

The Country Club of Orland offers several types of membership, with the initiation fee (depending on the type of membership) ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. Dues can range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year. If you’re lucky, you can get the full golf membership, but there’s also a social membership and a family membership. You really should just go for the full golf membership if you can get it. The golf course offers terrific play and magnificent surroundings, so you’ll want to learn how to play golf even if you’re an absolute beginner.
