With 2 clubhouses and 5 golf courses in 2 locations in total, membership to the Bonita Bay Club in Southwest Florida is a hot commodity. You’ll likely be placed on a waiting list when you apply for membership, and it might be a very long wait.
Bonita Bay Club offers several types of memberships. The initiation fee for the full golf membership was supposedly $95,000 as of 2019, but more recent reports set the full golf membership initiation fee at $125,000 with annual golf dues of $18,300. But with this type of membership, you get access to everything at both locations.
The Golf-in-Waiting Membership offers similar privileges, but with some limits to the golf privileges. While you can play at any time at the 2 Tom Fazio-designed courses at the Naples Club, with the West Courses you can only play on 2 days’ notice, if there’s space available. The initiation fee is usually 90% of the full golf membership, so that might be $112,500.
The Reserve Golf Membership is available for you until there’s an opening in the Golf-in-Waiting category. Meanwhile, with this membership you only can play at the courses available at the Naples Club. At the West club, you’re only allowed privileges with the non-golf facility.
With the BBC Naples Membership, you’re only allowed privileges at the Naples Club. That’s not really a and deal, since you’re still able to play at the 2 excellent golf courses, while the 8,200-square-foot clubhouse also has a dining room and bar.
If you’re between 25 and 49 years old, you may also be able to get the Associate Golf Membership. This will give you all the full privileges of a full golf membership. A National membership is also available if you’re not yet 50 years old, and you reside outside Florida. However, this also comes with several types of categories, with particular privileges. You’re also required to convert to a full golf membership within 5 years. Finally, you may be able to score a Sports Membership while you’re on the waiting list for the full golf membership. After all, you still have 18 Har-Tru courts with 13 lighted courts, courts for croquet and pickleball, swimming pool, fitness center, and various dining options.
