Located at Osprey, Florida, The Oaks Club boasts of offering “luxury coastal living in the heart of Sarasota Country”. It’s a private, member-owned club with over a thousand acres of pristine land, combining the fantastic golf courses, nature preserves, and the sugar sand beaches.

Membership usually starts with residency, and you have 3 prime neighborhoods to pick from. The homes cost somewhere within $400,000 to $4 million, but you’re also offered a chance to become a member at the club.

The full golf membership reputedly requires $65,400 for the initiation fee with annual dues of $13,901. The social membership still requires an initiation fee of $40,000 with $10,374 in annual dues.

Many applicants lust after the full golf membership, since that gives them access to the two 18-hole championship golf courses. The practice facilities are topnotch, with great driving ranges, short game practice areas, and extensive practice putting greens. The pro shop is so good that it has won awards, and you can also learn from the PGA and LPGA pros.

The Racquets facilities are top-tier as well, and there’s probably none finer anywhere in southwest Florida. The instructional program is definitely world-class with its technical proficiency, while you also have USPTA pros as instructors. Here you have 12 Har-Tru tennis courts, and 4 of them are lit. Just recently in 2020, the club also added 4 new pickleball courts as well.

Other features include manicured bocce courts and a top-of-the-line croquet court. And since this is Florida, there’s always a pool.

Those who want to work out have 7,500 square feet of space to work with, all filled up high tech equipment for cardio and strength training. The fitness center also features spacious movement studios and group exercise rooms, along with areas dedicated to massage and physical therapy services. You can even get a healthy snack at the outdoor patio.

Of course, that’s not the only place where you can get a bite. The club hosts 3 excellent restaurants, with select meats and regional seafood and produce. The wine and spirits selection are also quite extensive. Whether you’re having an intimate dinner or a casual meal with friends, you’re covered here.
