The membership costs for The Club at Carlton Woods in Texas depend on the type of membership you get. A 2013 report stated that the fees range from $10,000 to $110,000 but the fees are likely higher today. Another report revealed that the annual dues can reach up to $15,000.

The Equity Golf membership is the costliest, as it offers full use of everything. That means all the golf and tennis facilities, the fitness center, the swimming pool, the spa, the use of private rooms, and attendance to all the events in the social calendar.

The Equity Young Professional offers similar privileges, but this time the membership is only for those under the age of 40. With the Equity Sports/Social membership, you have full access to everything except golf. The Equity National membership is for those who live more than 75 miles from Carlton Woods. This offers limited use of the 2 golf courses, but full access to everything else.

All the golf fans will likely go with the full equity access, as the 2 golf courses here are absolutely fantastic. The Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Carlton Woods (designed personally by Jack Nicklaus himself) opened in 2001. When it come out, Golf Digest immediately deemed it the “Best New Private Course in Texas” and “#3 Best New Private Course in the U.S.” Even Jack Nicklaus acknowledged that it was one of the Top 18 of his Course Designs.

Then in 2005, out came the golf course designed by Tom Fazio. Like the first one, Golf Digest also called it the “Best New Private Course in Texas” at the time, and “#3 Best New Private Course in the U.S.”

Here you also have tennis lessons, or you can opt to learn pickleball as well. You can make sure you’re fit and healthy by using the 7,000-square-foot fitness facility with advanced Precor equipment, a separate weight room, a group fitness room (along with a Pilates studio), and a cardio room overlooking the pool.

Of course, the dining options here are also world-class, and the place is ideal for banquets and special events.
