Paradise Valley Country Club is in Arizona, and it’s considered one of the premier country clubs in the country. In fact, it’s ranked 129th among the Platinum Clubs of America. It’s been serving as an oasis in the desert for the most-respected folks in the area since 1953.
The country club is nestled between the McDowell Mountains in the east, the Phoenix Mountain Preserve in the west, and the famous Camelback Mountain in the south.
Membership here is by invitation only, which means you better have someone among the current members to sponsor your nomination. Several types of memberships are available, from junior to through senior status. It’s a traditional club that values privacy, which is why there’s no official statement regarding initiation fees and regular dues.
It’s well-known, however, that there’s a rather long waiting list. It’s not surprising, considering the wide range of features and amenities that await you should you ever be lucky enough to get in.
This starts with the excellent 18-hole parkland-style golf course. It’s so immaculately manicured that there are reports that say they actually use scissors for course maintenance.
Racquetball fans have 10 tennis courts to use, including a center court. The fitness center is spacious and filled with top-of-the-line equipment for strength training and cardio. There’s even a classic men’s barber shop.
Swimmers have 6 lanes in the 25-yard competition pool, and there’s a separate area for younger children. Actually, the kids here won’t be bored, since the Youth Activities Program offers a wide variety of fun-filled activities.
Of course, the clubhouse is a great spot for dining. The 4 dining areas include a formal spot for fine dining, which is great for impressing guests during business dinners and for intimate dinners as well. There’s a casual men’s grill, and a ladies’ grill counterpart as well. There’s also a bistro by the poolside for casual dining.
The clubhouse can host your banquets and private parties, and it’s a terrific spot for wedding celebrations. The Paradise Valley Country Club also offers a busy social calendar, with plenty of seasonal activities throughout the year.
