While the Fishers Island Club is in New York, the Fisher Island Club is in Florida. In some ways, this Fisher Island Club is even more exclusive. It charges an outrageous $250,000 as the membership initiation fee, and then you pay dues of $20,000 each year.

And you only get that full equity membership if you buy one of the properties on Fisher Island. That’s not going to be cheap, since even mere condos here go for an average of about $3.2 million.

It is possible to get a non-resident membership, with a discounted one-time initiation fee of $42,800 but the annual dues total almost $25,000 per year. You also need to renew the membership each year.

It’s true that the golf course here is just 9 holes, but it’s ranked by Golf Digest as the #8 among all the 9-hole golf courses in the US. You also have a full-size practice range, a short game area, a golf shop, and golf lessons from PGA pros.

The Racquetball Club here is one of the finest in the world. In fact, Tennis Magazine ranks the Fisher Island Club tennis facilities as the #1 in the entire East Coast region of the US. The main features include the 17 various tennis courts, with all the possible surfaces played in Grand Slam tennis. There are 7 Har-Tru courts, 3 hard courts, 5 European clay courts, and 2 grass courts, with lighting for evening play. You even have 4 pickleball courts as well.

Dining options are excellent, starting with breakfast or lunch in the Beach Club. With its outdoor setting and the sunset over Biscayne Bay, it’s a favorite hangout for pre-dinner cocktails. Porto Cervo focuses on Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, while the Garwood Lounge and Piano Bar offers fine dining in intimate surroundings.

You also have the Vanderbilt Mansion Pool, the Spa Internazionale exclusively for members only, and the modern fitness center.

Other dining options include the La Tratottoria for pizza and pasta, Greenside for casual indoor dining, the Snooker Club with live music, and the City View and Library for elegant indoor dining.
